First responders were called out to 155 incidents on Wednesday. Here is a look at some of the calls that came into dispatchers.
5:13 am – A 60-year-old man was transported to South Buffalo Mercy where he later died after a minor crash on Scrivner Drive. He crashed into a snow bank and later collapsed while walking to work. The Accident Investigation Unit is awaiting the man’s autopsy report to determine if the two incidents are connected.
9:58 am – A Crocker Street man call the police to say his ex-girlfriend is harassing him by downloading naked photos and placing them on his Facebook. The police talked to all the people involved.
10:18 am – A 27-year-old woman with a shunt in her head was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. She reported that she thought radio frequencies were coming out of her shunt.
10:28 am – A Harlem Road resident placed a pizza box inside their oven. It caught fire and prompted a response from Pine Hill firefighters. The fire was extinguished by the homeowner before it had a chance to spread.
10:45 am – A Vice, Gambling and Narcotics detective investigated suspected marijuana at the Millenium Hotel. The general manager met the detective with the suspected drugs. They turned out to be tea leaves.
1:34 pm – An outraged woman was escorted out of the town supervisor’s office.
2:16 pm – Three people were arrested for narcotics possession at a traffic stop on Walden Avenue. The driver was also charged with driving without a valid license.
2:36 pm – A man was arrested for shoplifting at the Thruway Plaza Tops Market. He has outstanding warrants in Amherst and Buffalo.
4:30 pm – A burglary report was filed at a home on the 300 block of Cherokee Drive.
4:42 pm – One person was transported to St. Joe’s after a two-car crash on Dick Road. Another person refused treatment.
7:15 pm – The driver of a Ford Taurus was arrested for drunk driving at a traffic stop on Genesee Street.
7:32 pm – A man was arrested on Glenwood Court for violating an order of protection.
7:55 pm – A man dumpster diving behind the CVS on French Road was advised by the police not to do it again.
9:33 pm – The police were called after three people were “acting out” inside the Tops Markets on Harlem and Kensington. While police were responding the parties left.
