CHEEKTOWAGA – 137 calls came in for first responders across the Town on Thursday, including snow ban warnings for vehicles overnight. This is a look at some of the issues.

7:52 am – A caller on Kaufman Road said their car was struck by an unknown vehicle overnight.

8:04 am – A police report was filed about an employee theft that was caught on camera at Tim Horton’s on Union near Losson.

8:47 am – Cleveland Hill firefighters were called to a warehouse on Cayuga Road for a fire alarm. It turned out a forklift hit the alarm pull station. The system was reset.

9:09 am – A police report was filed because a suspect was stealing and returning products between different Guitar Centers. 

9:41 am – Cleveland Hill firefighters were called to check out a CO alarm on Kensington Avenue. There were negative results. The scene was left to National Fuel.

12:34 pm – Doyle firefighters and an ambulance crew were called to Williamstowne’s community center to check out a woman who was not breathing. She was left in the care of the ambulance crew.

1:57 pm – Police were called to Dollar Tree in Thruway Plaza. An employee confronted a woman about shoplifting, and the woman threatened to punch the employee. The woman was told not to return or she would be arrested for trespassing. 

2:12 pm – Rescue Hose firefighters were called to Price Rite on Walden. An employee was passed out in the store. The ambulance crew took care of the patient.

4:02 pm – A few different businesses had fire alarms go off at the same time. The issue seems to be tied back to a power surge. There were some issues with traffic lights around the same time.

5:01 pm – U-Crest firefighters were called to Cherokee Drive. They helped free a 2-year-old’s leg from a wooden chair.

5:21 pm – A call came in about a reckless driver on Losson Road who was all over the road. The vehicle went onto the highway and was eventually stopped at the 190 and Dingens. the woman driver said she was upset due to a break-up. She told police she would pull over and not drive again until she calmed down. 

5:28 pm – An employee was arrested for larceny at the Galleria.

6:42 pm – A woman was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

6:48 pm – Rescue Hose firefighters were called to check out a toddler on Freda Avenue. The 3-year-old was jumping on the couch and fell and hit his head and chest. The tot was left in the care of mom – she was taking him to get checked out.

7:18 pm – A police report was filed for a natural death on Dean Road.

8:51 pm – A family was advised after their teenage daughter took off during an argument. The daughter came back home soon after police were called.

9:42 pm – A call came in from Parker Street. A woman said her husband went to check on a man in a car parked outside their house. The man got into a fight with the husband then took off. The car was tracked down and the driver was arrested for driving without a license and narcotics possession. 

10:28 pm – An employee at the Galleria was arrested for larceny.
