Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Thursday, December 6, 2018

Cheektowaga first responders were called out to 198 incidents on Thursday.

2:52 am – A driver was arrested for DWI. A caller said the vehicle was going all over the road and hit several curbs on George Urban Boulevard. Eventually, the vehicle hit a parked car on Ellwood. It was stopped at Ellwood. There were also narcotics found in the vehicle at the time of the arrest.

11:38 am – A tractor-trailer driver was advised about how to take the proper route to Xylem. They were issued a tag by officers.

12:40 pm – A person was arrested for assault. This is after a 44-year-old man on Rogers Drive called 911 to say his 70-year-old roommate hit him in the head with a stick.

3:15 pm – A man was arrested in front of IHOP on Walden Avenue. This is after his (former) employer, the Tim Horton’s down the street wanted him arrested for stealing a customer’s credit card and cash from the register.

5:43 pm – A few women were arrested for prostitution at hotels by the airport. In one case Border Patrol was notified and responded to the incident.

9:30 pm – Someone on Abeles Avenue called 911 because they wanted a man out of their house because he was “obnoxious”. They had to be advised of the eviction process.

11:09 pm – A call came in about an ATV racing up and down Lloyd Drive. The owner was spotted and strongly advised to put their vehicle away for the night.
