CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – First responders were called out to 162 incidents on Monday. Here are a few of the calls that came into dispatch.

12:34 am – Police responded to a cabbie after he said a woman ran out on a $30 fare on Windwood Court.

3:19 am – A woman was arrested after hitting a clerk in the face at the 7-Eleven on Walden Avenue near the city line.

4:01 am – Police made a narcotics arrest on Harlem Road.

5:14 am – Hy-View firefighters were called to check out an issue with an electrical outlet on Melody Lane. It turned out there was no hazard and the homeowner was advised.

5:15 am – U-Crest firefighters checked out an alarm that went off on Westland Parkway. It ended up being a faulty detector.

7:13 am – Doyle firefighters were called to the Best Western on Dingens. A woman slipped and fell in the shower. She was taken to Suburban Hospital by ambulance.

7:56 am – Traffic was backed up on the inbound 33 after two cars crashed between Harlem Road and the I-90. No one was injured in the crash.

9:28 am – A neighbor called police to check on a man on Strasbourg Drive. He was leaning half in and half out of his Jeep. He was incoherent. South Line firefighters and an ambulance responded to the scene. The guy was just tired from working an overnight shift. He made it into his house.

9:37 am – A driver was pulled over and arrested for driving without a license on Genesee Street.

10:02 am – Police were called to Westbrook Drive because a husband wouldn’t let a wife go to work because he wanted drug money from her. Both people were advised, the woman took items from the home before going to work.

10:39 am – Police were called to Clover Place to deal with a dispute between neighbors over a fence.

12:59 pm – A report came in about a purse being taken from an unlocked vehicle on Shanley Street.

1:14 pm – U-Crest, Cleveland Hill, and Hy-View firefighters were called to check out a fire alarm at Maryvale High School. It was a water flow alarm in the boiler room, set off by a fluctuation in pressure.

1:54 pm – A driver was pulled over on Pine Ridge and arrested for driving without a license.

3:04 pm – A police report was filed on a car break-in that happened overnight on Warsaw Street.

3:24 pm – A woman with a child was arrested for shoplifting in the Sam’s Club Plaza. She was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

4:51 pm – Police went to Rockleigh Drive to settle an issue between neighbors. Apparently, one neighbor threatened the other’s pets. Everyone was advised.

5:35 pm – An ambulance was called to police headquarters. The crew checked out a woman in lock up who said she could not breathe (while yelling at officers and the matron.)

7:04 pm – A police report for grand larceny was filed after two women stole arms filled with North Face jackets from the Galleria. 

7:32 pm – SPCA was notified about an injured goose in Stiglmeier Park.

10:57 pm – A call came in about a woman being choked by a man on Eggert Road. He apparently took her phone when she called 911. A third party called police to say the man was throwing her around. When police got to the scene the man was gone. North Tonawanda police found him at his home address. He was arrested and a domestic incident report was filed.

11:19 pm – Pine Hill firefighters were called to check out a fire on the walkway to the Jewish cemetery. It turned out to be a trash fire on the walkway. It was quickly put out.
