CHEEKTOWAGA – The Police and firefighters attended to 161 calls on Monday, November 6th.
1:16 am – The driver of a Mercury Mariner was arrested for possession of a control substance during a traffic stop on Eggert Road.
8:47 am – Pistol permits were investigated for residents on Birchwood Drive, Garfield Court, E. Rouen Drive, and Raymond Avenue.
10:30 am – A Barone Court resident said he was walking his dog and heard what sounded to be gunshots. The area was checked with negative results.
10:45 am – Cleveland Hill firefighters and an AMR ambulance crew attended to a Cleveland Hill student who suffered a fall.
11:56 am – The dog warden and the police investigated what appeared to be a skinned and burned dog in the trash at an address on the 600 block of French Road. It was a fox, and the sanitation department disposed of it.
1:45 pm – The police took a man home after he started a fight with a customer at the northern Sunoco at Union Road and William Street. The police dealt with the man earlier in the day. He blew a 3.92 on an alcohol sensor.
2:07 pm – A police report was filed for a female student at Maryvale. She reported that an incident occurred during a party on Friday. The detective’s bureau is investigating.
2:14 pm – An Aris Avenue filed a report for fraud after he lost $2,500 in a vehicle exchange.
2:59 pm – A woman on Lobue Lane told police that someone stole a bag of clothing from her carport.
3:27 pm – Two people were arrested on the eastbound Kensington Expressway for possession of a controlled substance.
5:44 pm – A bicyclist was struck on Genesee Street suffering a minor hand injury. He was transported to St. Joe’s.
7:01 pm – Four tickets were issued to drivers blowing through a stop sign on Patrick Lane.
8:20 pm – A man was arrested for shoplifting from a store at the Walden Galleria.
8:51 pm – A woman was arrested for shoplifting from Wal-Mart.
9:30 pm – The police checked on suspicious items found in the parking lot at Wal-Mart by a concerned caller. The items were an ax handle with no head, a level, a cushion, and some wire. The police determined the items to be trash.
10:01 pm – A female employee was arrested for larceny at Wal-Mart.
10:26 pm – The police checked on a vehicle at the Airport Plaza parking lot. A caller said a silver Toyota Corolla was doing circles in the parking lot. The driver appeared to be a 10-year-old girl. He then saw the girl jump out and a young boy jumped into the front seat. The vehicle was last seen westbound on Genesee Street. Officers could not locate the vehicle.
10:56 pm – A 46-year-old overdosed on St. Felix Avenue. Narcan was administered, and the patient was taken to St. Joe’s.
10:58 pm – A natural death was reported on Sprucewood Drive.
