Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Monday, May 14, 2018

First responders attended to 175 complaints in the town on Monday, May 14, 2018.

12:14 am – Around 20 people were yelling outside 3455 Genesee Street.  The disturbance was broken up before the arrival of patrol units.

7:59 am – Tools were stolen from a locked van at Carpet Factory Outlet on Union Road.

8:11 am – Doyle firefighters attended to an injury accident on the eastbound Interstate-90.  One person was transported to South Buffalo Mercy.

12:20 pm – The post office called the police after mail was backing up at a home on John Brian Lane.  The resident was found to be in the holding center.

12:54 pm – A resident of Boll Street bought a horse from Texas, and the shipper keeps trying to get more money to ship the horse.

3:56 pm – A 24-year-old woman is wanted for criminal mischief after cutting a cable cord during a domestic disturbance on Preston Road.

4:35 pm – A resident of Calla Way was transported to the hospital after the police found the man during a welfare check.  His niece went to the house after he didn’t accept his meals on wheels.  She saw three days of mail backed up.  Police gain entry and found the 93-year-old resident on the floor.  It appears the man suffered a stroke.  

4:47 pm – The police arrested one person at Walden Galleria after two kids were left inside a car.  The charge was for endangering the welfare of a child.

5:23 pm – A boat trailer on Wabash Avenue believed to have violated parking restrictions was marked.  A patrol will follow up Tuesday.

6:03 pm – A Zoerb Avenue resident suffered a dog bite.

6:53 pm – An unlocked car parked near Forever 21 at the Walden Galleria was gone through, and several items were stolen.

7:13 pm – A car parked outside Macy’s was gone through, and the owner’s phone was stolen.

8:27 pm – The police and U-Crest firefighters attended to a large brush fire behind 4423 Union Road.  The resident was advised that open burning is illegal in town.

11:35 pm – A man stole a bunch of Red Bull from the Rite Aid at George Urban Boulevard and Union Road.

11:37 pm – An unlocked car parked near the Regal Cinemas entrance at the Walden Galleria was gone through.  Cash and others items were stolen.
