Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Monday, March 25, 2019

Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 160 calls for service on Monday, March 25, 2019.

3:05 am – The police responded to a duress alarm at a home on Samuel Drive.  Officers were able to make contact with the homeowner and determined that there was an issue with the alarm system.

6:59 am – Two people stole items from a table at the Thruway Plaza IHOP restaurant.  Officers tracked down the subjects on Wanda Avenue and placed the duo under arrest.  One of the suspects resisted arrest and faces additional charges.

8:49 am – A suspicious vehicle was stopped by patrol officers after a resident of McNaughton Avenue said this was the third time in a week has seen driving around.  The man told the police that he is retired and he likes driving around his neighborhood.

9:16 am – An ambulance transported an 18-year-old man with an ear infection to St. Joes.

9:52 am – An ambulance transported a 51-year-old woman to Millard Suburban for an ear infection.

11:50 am – A juvenile was detained by the police after she stole items from Spencers Gift at the Walden Galleria.  The police spent 50-minutes on the case, and then the store decided not to prosecute.  The kid was banned from all Spencers stores.

4:13 pm – The Value Home Center on Dick Road filed a larceny report after a man stole three DeWalt drills.

6:03 pm – A man was arrested on Ellen Drive after his friend called the police because he was intoxicated and wouldn’t leave.  The drunk friend had a Cheektowaga arrest warrant.

7:03 pm – A debit card was found by police on routine patrol at Walden Galleria.

9:18 pm – U-Crest firefighters isolated an issue with the 2nd-floor toilet inside a home on Marlene Drive.

11:48 pm – A woman suffered a head injury at Taco Bell on Union Road after some type of disturbance involving around 15 people.  The victim was transported to St. Joes, but she didn’t want the police to prosecute.
