Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Monday, July 9, 2018

First responders attended to 208 complaints on July 9, 2018.

12:02 am – The police checked the area of Randolph Avenue for two men carrying patio furniture.  Two chairs and two foot stools were stolen.  The subjects were not located.

12:50 am – A house on Kaufman Road was egged by a person in a vehicle.

1:15 am – The police were called to Preston Road after an argument between 4-5 people broke out.

2:07 am – A Chesterfield Drive resident reported a possible Peeping Tom.

3:27 am – Two patrol officers and a sergeant assisted Lancaster Police to help clear people from Lancaster High School.  They were back in town a half-hour later.

11:00 am – A contractor thinks a former employee stole equipment out of his McParlin Avenue shed.

11:35 am – A 50-gallon air compressor was stolen from an address on Avery Place.

12:37 pm – Doyle firefighters responded to a Sandy Lane address to shut off a water main.

1:29 pm – Two people were transported to the hospital after a two-car crash on William Street.

1:37 pm – A confused adult came to police headquarters asking for the police to help withdraw money from her bank.  Her son requested that the police evaluate her.  The case was referred to senior services.

1:56 pm – A person was struck by a car on Walden Avenue in front of Basil Ford and was complaining of knee pain.  The police drove the victim to Harlem and Genesee street.  

4:42 pm – Sometime after 11 am today, an unknown person broke into a home on E. Delavan Avenue and stole several items.

A 21-year-old woman was sent to ECMC for burns after a car's gas tank exploded at the Rossler Plaza.  The gas tank on a 2002 Chevy Blazer was being changed out when the explosion happened.  Doyle firefighters responded to treat the victim and to put out a car fire.

8:05 pm – A 21-year-old woman was sent to ECMC for burns after a car’s gas tank exploded at the Rossler Plaza.  The gas tank on a 2002 Chevy Blazer was being changed out when the explosion happened.  Doyle firefighters responded to treat the victim and to put out a car fire.

11:15 pm – A man was arrested on Winkler Drive after his girlfriend said he punched her in the face and stole $120.  The assault happened on Siberling Drive.  The woman had an outstanding arrest warrant from Amherst.
