First responders were called out to 166 incidents on Monday.
1:59 am – A person was arrested for criminal mischief and criminal impersonation after a man said someone was trying to get in his Elkins Drive home and there was broken glass in the doorway. A domestic incident report was filed.
8:59 am – Cleveland Hill firefighters had to help free a woman who locked herself in her bathroom.
9:29 am – A police report was filed for illegal dumping. Someone keeps dropping off used tires at Monro muffler at the corner of Harlem and Walden.
10:11 am – A police report was filed for aggravated harassment due to cyberbullying between students on Instagram.
10:14 am – A man went behind the counter at McDonald’s on Clinton Street, yelling and looking for his girlfriend who is an employee at the restaurant. He was arrested for trespassing. A domestic incident report was filed.
11:37 am – Police were called after a man was spotted bringing a long gun into the Target on Walden Avenue. His vehicle was pulled over on Walden Avenue. It turned out to be an air soft gun. He said he wanted to buy a scope for it, that’s why he brought it in the store.
12:18 pm – An employee of Burlington Coat Factory was arrested for larceny.
12:31 pm – Two people were arrested for shoplifting at the Target on Walden Avenue.
3:00 pm – A young man was arrested for menacing after an incident on Wagner Avenue. His mother called 911 after she said he woke her up saying he was going to shoot her. He had a large gun in his hand at the time. He was taken into custody on N. Ogden Street.
6:29 pm – Cleveland Hill firefighters quickly put out a dumpster fire on Harlem Road.
7:49 pm – A person on Trent Square called to say a drunk 41-year-old man punched his 12 and 15-year-old children in the face. The man was found down the road. He was arrested for assault, false personation, and had a warrant out of Niagara County.
10:27 pm – The weather caused a couple issues of power lines arching around town. NYSEG was called out to Broadway in front of the ice rink and Roland Street to deal with power line issues.
