Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Monday, February 18, 2019.

Emergency responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 171 calls for service on Monday, February 18, 2019.

12:20 am – A man was arrested on Wheaton Drive after he broke things in a friend’s house.  He was charged with criminal mischief.

5:45 am – An air machine was stolen from the Broadway Kwik Fill gas station overnight.  The crime was caught on camera.

9:04 am – An 82-year-old man died of natural causes on E. Cherbourg Drive.

3:12 pm – A woman on Aero Drive was bitten by a dog.  She sought treatment at the hospital for wounds to her thigh and arm.

5:18 pm – A resident of Montfort Drive thought her house was burglarized.  It was later determined that Rent-a-Center entered the home earlier with the sheriff’s office, took overdue furniture, and left paperwork.

5:20 pm – The police investigated a report of three guys with guns on Long Avenue.  The police couldn’t find the men matching the description.

5:25 pm – U-Crest firefighters ventilated the Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital after food was overcooked.  While people were evacuating the building because of the fire alarms, one person slipped on ice.  The person did not go to the hospital.

6:10 pm – A woman was told to stop begging people for money.  She was outside the Rite Aid at Union and Losson.
