Cheektowaga Central Offering Full Day Universal Pre-K

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The Cheektowaga Central school district is looking to notify parents of three and four year olds in the district about its full-day Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program.

The program will be open to children who will be three or four before December 1, 2017. 

The UPK class for three year olds will be at Little Angels Day Care Center, on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. 

The four year old program will be at multiple sites across the district, including Union East Elementary, Mary Queen of Angels School, Watch Me Grow Daycare, and Little Angels Day Care Center. This program will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. – except for the Little Angels site, which runs from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Classes will be led by New York State Certified Teachers, using the Pre-K Common Core standards. 

Children who will be three years old by the start of the school year, will be able to ride the bus to school. Parents will need to transport two year olds until their child turns three.

Students will be chosen to attend by random lottery. 

Applications will be available on March 1st, 2017 in the Registration Office in the High School building. You can also apply on the district website, Students will be chosen in the lottery on Thursday, April 27th, 2017.
