Central students compete in statewide champsionships

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Four students from the Cheektowaga Central School District traveled downstate over the weekend to compete in New York State’s Track and Field Championships.

Alonzo Rodriguez-Spencer, Seth Conner, Kyle Krzanowicz and Ayana Bursie competed at the Ocean Breeze Sports Complex on Staten Island according to a school Facebook post.

Alonzo broke the school record in the 600-meter dash.  He ran a 1:24.45 and finished 15th out of 35.

Seth ran a 36.92 in the 300-meter, ranking him 27 out of 35 statewide in the 300.

Kyle finished 21st out of 35 in the long jump with a 20’ 2” jump and Ayana Bursie ran a 7.60 in the 55-meter dash and finished 24th out of 35.
