Cash for Cans robbery

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – An employee at the Cash for Cans store at 2377 Harlem Road called Cheektowaga Police to report an armed robbery Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to the store just before 4:30 p.m. and the employee told police that he was held-up by a man with a black revolver.  

The robber ran away on foot through a back door towards Walden Avenue.  He allegedly got away with $3,000 from the register and safe.

The suspect was described as a 6′ black male wearing a red bandanna over his face, a blue hoodie and gloves.

Police searched the area, but couldn’t find the suspect.
