CHEEKTOWAGA – The Cheektowaga Town Council decided Tuesday night that Cash Realty and Auctions will be next at-bat to try and offload the town’s hovercraft.

Cheektowaga Chronicle was first to tell you last week that Supervisor Benczkowski was exploring the idea of piggybacking off a county bid for their auction services.

The contract will be set up so the buyer pays any fees Ms. Benczkowski said last week.

“The buyer pays a premium to the auction company, and the town will receive the total amount that the vehicle sells for, and he appraises the equipment, takes pictures, and does it all,” she said.

The auction company will also appraise the machine to ensure the town is getting a fair value when it hits the auction block.
