CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Rescue Hose firefighters attended to a woman who lost control of her car and crashed into a Gualbert Avenue home Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gualbert and Widley Avenues.
The driver told an eyewitness that she was driving down Widley Avenue and hit a patch of ice near the stop sign.
Her car jumped the curb, slid across the front lawn and slammed into the front porch of 141 Gualbert Avenue. The home did not sustain any structural damage.
Rescue Hose firefighters and medics from American Medical Response evaluated the woman at the scene, but she was not transported to the hospital.
The Cheektowaga Police is now investigating the incident.
