April 2nd runoff election set for Village of Sloan

SLOAN – A runoff election will be held on April 2nd in the Village of Sloan after two candidates running for trustee received an equal amount of votes election officials said.

Incumbent Tammy Bayes and candidate Jennifer Kregg are vying for one of the two open seats on the Board of Trustees. Both tied with 114 votes during the village election on March 19th.  The victor’s term is for four years.

Voting for the runoff election will occur on April 2nd from noon to 9 pm at the Sloan Active Hose Company at 55 Gates Street.

Trustee candidate Linda Ostempowski secured one of the two seats when she received 126 votes on March 19th.  Incumbent Trustee Caitlin Carlson garnered 105 votes.

Incumbent Trustees Paula Bruscani and Eric Czubaj ran unopposed for two-year terms.
