Walden Avenue rollover sends two people to ECMC

CHEEKTOWAGA – First responders attended to a rollover crash in the Forks Fire District Saturday afternoon.

A sedan and pickup truck collided along the 2300 block of Walden Avenue just after 12:30 pm in front of the offices of First Student.  The driver of the sedan told the police that the pickup truck pulled in front of her car causing the crash according to a law enforcement source at the scene.

The car T-boned the pickup truck and the force the crash rolled the pickup truck onto its side coming to rest in the parking lot of First Student.

Both drivers were outside of the vehicles walking around when Forks firefighters arrived at the scene according to Forks Fire Chief Tom Brennan.  Firefighters attended to some fluid leaks.

Medics from AMR evaluated the drivers at the scene and later transported them to Erie County Medical Center for further treatment according to a supervisor at AMR.

Westbound traffic on Walden Avenue was slowed around the scene.

First Choice towed the vehicles from the scene.
