CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – A private jet with actress Jennifer Lawrence onboard was diverted to Prior Aviation Saturday afternoon after encountering a problem with the engine and fuel pump.

Niagara Frontier Transportation Agency spokesperson Helen Tederous tells Cheektowaga Chronicle that around 1:15 p.m. a Beechjet 400 suffered an apparent problem with the plane’s engine/fuel pump.

The plane was en route from Louisville, Kentucky to Teterboro, New Jersey.

A report from E! News said the actress’s plane suffered an engine failure forcing the emergency diversion to Buffalo.  The plane’s second engine quit while pilots were performing the emergency landing.

The aircraft landed safely.  A total of four people were onboard, two of whom were crew members.

Original reports to the NFTA said the plane was flying to Kentucky from New Jersey.
