Motorcyclist injured in midday crash, issued tickets

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – An unlicensed motorcycle operator crashed his bike midday Sunday near Town Hall.

The motorcycle was traveling northbound on Union Road around 11:40 a.m. when the crash happened. 

Cheektowaga Police at the scene tells Cheektowaga Chronicle that the operator hit a curb while turning onto the Broadway access road next to Town Hall.  He lost control of his Kawasaki bike and was thrown from it suffering a shoulder and leg injury. He was transported to Erie County Medical Center.

Police issued the operator tickets for imprudent speed and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle license. 

Forks Fire Department attended to the scene and was assisted by American Medical Response. The motorcycle was towed by Rusiniak’s.
