Late afternoon crash shuts down Harlem Road

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – A two-car head-on crash shut down Harlem Road and sent two people to the hospital late Monday afternoon.

The head-on crash happened at the intersection of Harlem Road and Homesgarth Avenue around 6:15 p.m.

Cleveland Hill firefighters attended to two minor injuries before the patients were transported to Erie County Medical Center by American Medical Response.

A police officer at the scene could not discuss if any traffic tickets were issued.  The vehicles were towed by Royal Towing.

Harlem Road was shut down between Loretto Drive and Huth Road while crews attended to the scene.
