Deputies arrest passenger for drugs during traffic stop

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – Erie County Sheriff Deputies arrested a Cheektowaga man for various drug charges during a traffic stop Saturday morning.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says around 2:25 a.m. Deputies Szkatulski and Thurston stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Shanley and Griswold streets for a vehicle and traffic violation.  When they approached the vehicle, they detected the odor of marijuana and questioned the driver and passenger.  The Deputies discovered marijuana, a glass pipe, a scale, and a vial of cocaine on the Corey Tworkowski – the passenger.

Tworkowski, 23, of Cheektowaga, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and marijuana possession.  The defendant was later released on appearance tickets.
