Democrats easily secure three town board seats

CHEEKTOWAGA – The Cheektowaga Chronicle is calling the town council race in favor of the three Democratic candidates.

James Rogowski and Tim Meyers each secured more than double the votes from their nearest Republican challenger Patrick Delaney and Brian Nowak comfortably secured the third council seat.

Incumbent Alice Magierski running on the Conservative line came in sixth place behind two of the Republican challengers.

Three council seats were up for election.  Only 28% of the registered voters came out.

Here’s a breakdown of the numbers:

  • James Rogowski (D,C,W) – 10,688
  • Tim Meyers (D,C) – 9,956
  • Brian Nowak (D,W,WEP) – 8,991
  • Patrick Delaney (R,REF) – 4,848
  • Doreen Friedrich (R,REF) – 4,586
  • Alice Magierski (C) – 4,248
  • Roger Heymanowski (R, REF) – 3,881
  • Carol Przybylak – 615
