CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The second CPR Cell Phone Repair franchise in Buffalo held its grand opening Saturday in Cheektowaga.
Owner Aria and David Ferguson officially cut the ribbon on their new store Saturday morning with the help of the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce.
The business specializes in same-day repair service of small electronics, repairing cracked screens, liquid remediation, data recovery, software issues, and any other technical problems for all types of electronic devices.
“We’ll fix anything that plugs into a wall. We’ve had shredders, we’ve had baby monitors, we’ve had laptops, we’ve had desktop computers and TVs. One of the big segments this franchise is pushing towards is drones,” said David Ferguson.
While the Fergusons operate a franchise – it’s a mom and pop atmosphere. They employ two full-time and one part-time employee at the Cheektowaga location. The employees are trained to handle every type of issue out there.
“We have an actual lab here at CPR Cell Phone Repair. We have equipment that no one else in Western New York has and our liquid damage recovery is another thing that would really set us apart. I don’t think they can do that at the kiosks,” said Ms. Ferguson.
Each repair comes with a lifetime warranty, something only offered by CPR Cell Phone Repair.
“When you come in here, you have the confidence that when you walk through the door and you experience an issue that didn’t have before – because you do get bad parts like anything – you can come back here for the lifetime of the phone and we’re going to repair ultimately no questions asked other than what your experience was,” added Mr. Ferguson.
The Fergusons are Western New York natives and they also give back to the community.
“We are very excited about our fundraising campaign to purchase a service dog for a Western New York Veteran. We are working with the WNY Heroes, Inc. organization helping to raise awareness about service dogs, how they help our veterans, and their Pawsitive for Heroes program,” said Ms. Ferguson.
The store also donates used phones to the Cell Phones for Soldiers Program and Woman of the World Transitional Center – a domestic abuse shelter in Cheektowaga.
CPR Cell Phone Repair is also a New York State e-certified drop off center. The company recycles any small electronic free of charge.
“People can feel very confident dropping things off here because we will wipe the data and also the company that we send the devices off to also wipes the data as well,” said Ms. Ferguson.
The Fergusons also said that area first responders are extended a 10% discount with ID.
The Cheektowaga store is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. They are closed Sunday.
