CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The two labor unions representing Cheektowaga Police Officers voted to endorse Stefan Mychajliw for Erie County Comptroller.

Both unions sent their letters of support to the current comptroller last month and the campaign announced them Friday.

Frederick Roll, President of the Captains and Lieutenants Association, said, “Your hard work and commitment to the Erie County Taxpayers is admirable, and we definitely value your unwavering support for law enforcement.”

Donald Strozyk, President of the Cheektowaga Police Club, said, “Our entire membership is very familiar with the great work you have done for the taxpayers of Erie County.  We are especially proud of the fact that you are a proud supporter of law enforcement and not afraid to acknowledge it.”

Mr. Mychajliw is running for re-election this November against endorsed Democrat Vanessa Glushefski.

Ms. Glushefski is a CPA and attorney and has worked as Legislative Director for Assemblywoman Monica Wallace.

Mr. Mychajliw also received the endorsement of AFSCME Local 1095, the union that represents peace officers at Erie County Medical Center.
