Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Thursday, October 6, 2017

CHEEKTOWAGA – The following is a look at some of the 171 incidents first responders were called out to on Thursday.

1:44 am – The police checked on a man sleeping in a car outside the Hilton Garden Inn hotel.  The man was sleeping before a road trip to Toronto.

2:11 am – A loud music complaint on Reo Avenue was attended to be the police.

2:11 am – A Hispanic man tried to rob the 7-Eleven at Transit and Genesee.  The man got away in a silver minivan with a hatchback.

8:54 am – A parent has trouble sending off their 16-year-old daughter to school.  The teen took off prior to the arrival of the police.  The officer searched the area but could not locate the teen.

10:08 am – The police admitted a man on Industrial Parkway into Erie County Medical Center under the state’s mental health law.

10:19 am – A dog was hit and kill by a car along 4000 Union Road.

12:05 pm – The police were flagged down by a pedestrian asking them to check out a bottle of bleach in the road along the 1200 block of Walden Avenue.  The police investigated and determined the bottle did contain bleach.  The bottle was disposed of.

12:07 pm – Two New York State Inspection stickers were stolen from the Harlem Road Valvoline Instant Oil Change.

12:12 pm – A generator undergoing testing at St. Joe’s set off the fire alarm bringing out Rescue Hose firefighters.

12:49 pm – The police could not locate a 50-year-old woman who was screaming “I’m sick of American people” on Kingswood Drive.

2:34 pm – A FedEx package was stolen from a home on Hoerner Avenue.

2:44 pm – A woman on Rowley Hollow said someone stole her outside security camera and keyed a truck sometime overnight.  A domestic incident report was filed.

2:54 pm – The police attended to a domestic fight between two sisters on Marywood Drive.

3:05 pm – An employee at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling plant on Walden Avenue made threats to blow up the building. He was suspended.  Plant security and police have established checkpoints to protect the property.  The man showed up at 6:36 pm and was advised by the police to call his manager and leave the property.

6:07 pm – A police report was filed on Biscayne Drive after a woman was touched in a sexual manner.

6:14 pm – A pink Trek mountain bike was stolen from the 700 block of Cleveland Drive.

7:01 pm – A domestic incident report was filed on Federal Avenue after the complainant’s son emptied his parent’s bank accounts and placed the house on the auction block for back taxes. 

7:17 pm – The Best Western call the police after two men tried to open a door to the front desk area where the cash register is located. The men ran towards the pool. The police searched the hotel and filed a police report.

7:35 am – A natural death was reported on Lilac Terrace.

8:14 pm – A man was arrested on Dubonnet after assaulting his ex on Madeira Drive.  A domestic incident report was filed.

11:17 pm – An intoxicated person who was passed out outside the RiteAid at Harlem Road and Genesee was transported to ECMC.  A woman was taken to St. Joe’s by police and a man was taken to an address on Elkins for a notification.
