CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The Cheektowaga Police Department attended to 126 calls on April 30, 2017. The following is a brief report of some of the calls they received according to the Cheektowaga Police blotter.

12:00 am – Police kept a presence in the area of the Aero Drive gentlemen’s clubs until 4:18 a.m.  Police investigated a hit and run crash, two verbal arguments, a property damage only crash and made a DWI arrest.

12:01 am – Police investigated a noise complaint on Carefree Lane.  The caller said musicians were practicing using drums and amplifiers.  Police said it was all quiet when they arrived.

1:24 am – Police advised a man and woman who was arguing in a driveway on Ludwig Avenue to keep it down.

2:53 am – A car was broken into on Peinkofer Drive.

3:35 am – A caller said a woman was passed out hanging half out of a gray Ford Focus on Colette Avenue.  Police arrested one subject and charged them with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

4:32 am – A person was arrested for possession of stolen property on Lucielle Drive.

4:57 am – An arrest was made for Criminal Impersonation during a traffic stop on Genesee Street.  The subject also has a warrant out of Cheektowaga and Buffalo.

6:41 am – An ambulance check the blood sugar of a female prisoner in the police cell block.

7:03 am – Police provided a McDonald’s breakfast to one prisoner.

9:16 am – A driver was arrested at the scene of a property damage only crash on Union Road because they did not a have a valid driver’s license.

10:04 am – Police transported a man to Goodyear and Walden in Buffalo after a domestic issue on Viola Drive.

11:27 am – A Moe’s Southwest Grill employee was fired for insubordination after stealing money Saturday night.  Management called police to say his parents called and said, “they are on their way to F things up” and wanted to fight the complainant.  The subject was advised not to return to the restaurant and the matter will be handle at the corporate level.

12:08 pm – Police escorted a woman to a home on Michael Avenue in Sloan to get items from an ex-boyfriend. She has an order of protection against him.  The escort was completed without incident.

1:10 pm – U-Crest Fire Department determined that steam from cooking food set off the fire alarm at El Agave Mexican Restaurant.

1:26 pm – A car was broken into on Beale Avenue.

1:42 pm – A caller in West Seneca says kids from Gardenvillage Drive jump from a window onto a car port and keep throwing dog poop into the Town.  Police were unable to locate the kids.

2:18 pm – A reportedly drunk man with his pants half down laying outside of the Comfort Inn on Dingens Street was advised and sent on his way back into the city.

2:35 pm – A caller may followup with the dog warden after he saw an emaciated pit pull running around on Anthony Avenue.

3:08 pm – Bellevue Fire Company ventilated a Groell Avenue house and called for National Fuel after a natural gas leak.

4:39 pm – Police transported a man to ECMC from Gardenvillage Drive for a mental health evaluation.

5:21 pm – Police issued two speeding tickets on Harlem Road.

5:57 pm – Police officers on the Regal Movie detail located a debit card.  Another officer picked up the card and returned it to its owner at a Town residence.

6:17 pm – Police notified Erie County Water about a water main break on Cleveland between St. Al’s and Harlem Road.

6:28 pm – Police located an 11-year-old boy on Walbash and returned him home to an address on Milsom Avenue.  He is supporsed to check in with mom every hour and failed to do so for four hours.

6:45 pm – Doyle Hose Company responded to 209 Helen Street to investigate the smell of burning inside of the house.  A coffee stir stick caught fire on a stove.

9:34 pm – An arrest was made for narcotics during a traffic stop on Harlem Road.

9:34 pm – A woman said a man went into a rear yard on Euclid Avenue and tried grabbing her kids.  Police advised all parties.

9:50 pm – Police arrested a man for indecent exposure.  While police investigated a nearby incident along the 1100 block of Walden Avenue, a man started urinating in front of police officers and members of the public.

10:41 pm – Police attended to a despondent teen on Gardenvillage Drive. She was transported to ECMC.

11:17 pm – Police attended to a tenant dispute on the 900 block of Dick Road.
