CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – First responders in Cheektowaga were called out to 150 incidents on Monday. Here are just some of the calls to dispatch.

12:14 am – A police report was filled out after a woman called police to say her daughter was beat up by her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend and the girlfriend’s mother. The report was taken from the St. Joe’s ER.

2:21 am – Seven car break-ins were reported in Sloan. The incidents happened around Halstead, Atlantic, Lackawanna, and Michael Avenues. 

3:49 am – South Line firefighters were called to check out a CO detector that went off on Audet Drive. It turned out to be a faulty detector.

6:51 am – Construction workers were advised of Town Ordinances after they woke up neighbors on Jamaica Lane. The crew said they would wait until the appropriate time to start taking equipment off trucks and start working.

8:17 am – A caller from Arthur Street complained about a woman who sets her car alarm off on purpose. Apparently, the woman with the car alarm works at Danny’s. She sets off the alarm to try and wake up a co-worker who is always late. The co-worker lives in the building on Arthur. She was advised to not set off the alarm any longer.

8:52 am – Cleveland Hill firefighters were called to check out CO levels in a house on Huxley Drive. It turned out to be a faulty detector.

10:02 am – U-Crest firefighters were called to a crash on Genesee Street between a tractor-trailer and an SUV. The four people in the SUV were taken to Mercy Hospital by ambulance. The truck driver signed off on further treatment.

10:17 am – South Line firefighters were called out to Mighty Taco on French Road after a heat or smoke detector was set off. An employee confirmed that it was set off by steam. The system was reset.

10:33 am – A fire alarm was set off Upstate Milk Employees Federal Credit Union. Rescue Hose firefighters responded to the scene. It turns out it was set off by an extinguished candle.

10:41 am – Bellevue firefighters and an ambulance crew were called to Niagara Metals on Union Road. A person got their hand caught in a trailer. It was injured when they pulled their hand out. The person was taken to ECMC by ambulance and a police report was filed on the accident.

12:13 pm – A police report was filed after an employee at the Kwik Fill on Harlem Road was accused of stealing money. There is video of the incident. The employee was arrested around 3:00 pm when they showed up for their shift. 

12:38 pm – Two people were arrested for shoplifting from the Galleria.

12:41 pm – Cleveland Hill firefighters responded to a call of a flooded basement on Mt. Vernon Road.

12:59 pm – A police report was filed for a suspicious person after a woman called police from the Aldi’s parking lot on Walden. She said a man in the parking lot was making motions like he was exposing himself in the car next to hers. The man was not there when police got to the scene.

2:37 pm – A police report was filed after a man stole $500 worth of sunglasses from the Galleria.

3:41 pm – A 17-year-old was arrested for shoplifting at the Galleria.

4:14 pm – A caller from Harlem Road near Gierlach said there were about 14 cars parked near her home and a bunch of people standing in her yard under a tree. It turns out they were all playing Pokemon. They were advised.

4:50 pm – A call came from Sweetworks on Genesee Street. A man was spotted trying to force a woman into a car. Apparently, there was a road rage incident in the parking lot and the man was trying to get the woman to stay in the car so she wouldn’t fight with the other driver.

4:58 pm – Two people were arrested for shoplifting at the Galleria.

5:40 pm – A woman called to say her ex-husband stole her walker from her porch on Meadowbrook Parkway. She called back a short time later to say she got the walker back.

5:41 pm – Two people were arrested for narcotics after a car was pulled over off of Eggert Road near the entrance of Langfield Apartments.

6:04 pm – Cleveland Hill firefighters were called to check out a CO alarm going off on Campbell Road. It turned out to be a faulty detector.

7:19 pm – A woman reported to police that her credit card was taken out of her purse at the Galleria. She called back to say she didn’t need to see an officer because she canceled the cards.

7:32 pm – Two teenage girls were arrested for shoplifting from a number of stores in the Galleria, including JCPenney’s, PINK, and Bath and Body Works.

7:50 pm – An officer helped a woman change her flat tire on Genesee Street. AAA estimated it would take two hours to get to the location, so the officer helped the woman get on her way. 

7:51 pm – A couple lovers in a couple vehicles in Town Park were advised to leave the area.

8:11 pm – Bellevue firefighters and ambulance crews were called out to a crash on Union Road. One child was taken to Children’s Hospital to be checked out and another person was taken to ECMC for injuries.

8:45 pm – A caller said there were people in the gazebo near the nature preserve on Honorine Drive. A man was spotted in the area by police and told to be on his way. 

11:14 pm – A car with Ontario plates was spotted parked near the loading dock behind Target on Walden Avenue. The person in the car was sleeping. They were advised by police.

11:34 pm – Police were called to the Holiday Inn on Anderson Road. A homeless man was in the lobby demanding a room for free. He was taken to the Stadium Inn in Hamburg by police.
