Cheektowaga Police Blotter: Monday, October 2, 2017

CHEEKTOWAGA – The following is a look at some of the 168 incidents first responders were called out to on Monday. 

1:36 am – The police took a 12-year-old boy home to an address on Rosewood Terrace.  A concerned caller told police that the boy was walking around for three hours.

2:51 am – A person was arrested on Reiman Street after the police were told that a 14-year-old was beaten throughout the night.  A domestic incident report was filed.

4:04 am – A loud music complaint was attended to on Halstead Avenue.

8:50 am – A police officer located a missing 63-year-old woman from N. Pleasant Parkway.  She was found on Harlem Road south of William and was missing just over three hours.

10:09 am – Management at Value City Furniture had a difficult time with an employee they just fired.  The police told the employee to stop giving everyone a hard time and leave.

10:20 am – A man was arrested for petit larceny from the Tops Market at Kensington and Harlem.

10:32 am – The police arrested a man along the 3100 block of Broadway for driving without a license.

11:32 am – An Anna Marie Terrace resident was arrested for marijuana possession.

12:17 pm – One person was transported to St. Joe’s after a two-car crash on Union Road.  U-Crest firefighters attended to the scene.

1:40 pm – A Walmart employee was arrested for theft.

2:29 pm – The driver of an overloaded pickup was arrested on Union Road for driving without a valid license and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

3:07 pm – A dog was taken from a yard on Freda Avenue.

3:41 pm – The animal control officer attended to a report of a small Chihuahua running loose on Marywood Drive.

4:14 pm – A woman was arrested at the Walden Galleria for stealing jewelry.  An ambulance was called after she passed out.  She was not transported to the hospital.

4:51 pm – The police took a man to the city mission after he came to the police station asking for a ride there.

5:25 pm – South Line firefighters attended to a woman who suffered a fall on the Hawthorn Trail in Stiglmeier Park.  She was transported to South Buffalo Mercy.

5:29 pm – A male overdosed on heroin on the 900 block of Cleveland Drive.  He was transported to St. Joe’s.

5:57 pm – A motorcycle operator suffered a broken ankle in a crash on Harlem Road. He was transported to ECMC.

6:10 pm – The police filed a domestic incident report after a man’s wife hit him in the head with a broom handle.

6:54 pm – A citation was issued to a driver that ran a red light on William Street.

7:37 pm – A bicycle was stolen from outside the Union Road Burger King.

8:15 pm – A 25-year-old at the Harlem Road library asked for an ambulance because she thought her uterus was falling out.  She said she had sex 30 minutes prior and could not move.  She called dispatchers back at 8:26 pm to cancel.

8:51 pm – The police investigated a report of ten children making noise and shining a laser light into a home on Pheasant Lane.  A police report was filed.

9:16 pm – A woman was charged with DWI at the scene of a property damage only crash on the 400 block of Beach Road.

9:36 pm – Employees at the Spirit Halloween in the Union Consumer Square locked themselves in the manager’s office after the heard footsteps and saw sparks coming from a fog machine.  The police determined that everything was okay.
