The Bank of America at 3842 Harlem Road was robbed by a woman around 2:19 p.m.

Captian Scott Pilat of the Cheektowaga Police Department says a woman walked into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money.  The teller complied and gave the suspect cash.  She fled and police tracked the suspect to the school a short time later.

As police arrived a female subject exiting the school was detained. She was later identified as the suspect and arrested.

K9s from Buffalo, the Erie County Sheriff’s Air One helicopter and several officers from both departments searched the school and surrounding area.

Police are still processing the suspect and can’t release further information.
